No Struggle, No Progress

Trump Not a Messiah

Millions of Americans somehow believe that Donald Trump is the answer to many, if not all of America's issues. They thought that in 2016 when they elected him to "make America great again" with much fanfare, but a funny thing happened in 2020. It would appear that Mr. Trump must have fallen "out of favor" with voters because he lost to Joe Biden. Despite President Bidden presiding over a robust economy with record job growth, many Americans believed that Biden was worse as president than Trump. As Americans rejected the Democrats and returned the power once again to Republicans. Everyone knows that Trump ran again in a desperate bid to possibly stay out of jail/prison for his alleged transgressions against society. His bid paid off and now he must walk the talk that got him back into the White House. Millions of Americans were willing to give Trump another chance to do what he didn't do the first time around, especially after announcing a multitude of sweeping changes that he would implement beginning on day-1. Perhaps the second time around might not be what it is all cracked up to be. In his first term, Trump said that he would hire the best and the brightest there was. Though he kept some holdovers from President Obama's second term, Trump would fire them because they were not "yes people" or loyal enough to him. Multiple firings would occur, as the White House became a revolving door for whomever Trump could hire. As the January inauguration approaches, many conservatives can't wait for Trump to fulfill the promises he made on the campaign trail. Trump thinks that by appointing people that will do his bidding will automatically get things done. Trump is not a king, as he will also find that America is not ready for a dictator also. There are those who believe that Trump will wave his hand and the “Red Sea” of problems will disappear. Jesus didn't come into the world just to get rid of the things that separated man from God. He came to show man the Way, not solve the issues. He will do that at the Second Coming. One has to wonder how much responsibility Trump will take when things go wrong. He will gladly let influential religious figures that supported him try to rewrite laws that favor their "faiths" despite how the Constitution is written. He is willing to be seen as a messiah, but is not willing to do the work of one. He is happy to have people fawn over him as they would over an idol. Remember the gold calf they made for him? Trump has fooled many people particularly those those who say they are "faith based", over a man who does not talk about faith. Trump will find out that he may have authority soon, but that there is an authority that is higher than his, as there is only one Messiah. Remember, the world is watching. So is God.
