No Struggle, No Progress
So, Donald Trump is now an OG among young Black men? Well, if one paid attention to how Trump went after the Black vote among the brothers, one would think that he hung out in the hood all of the time. If there were ever an opportunity to use the old "Trojan Horse" gimmick to sneak in the back door, Trump did it with great success. It probably was easier than one thinks, especially when he had two of the most outspoken surrogates in the form of Tim Scott and Byron Donalds. Scott got on stage and told the world that he "loves" Donald Trump, as Donalds spoke at Trump's Madison Square Garden rally as "Dixie" played when he came to the mic. Then there was the barbershop photo-op with Black men telling the nation why they were for Trump because the Democratic Party "failed" them. Perhaps they were caught up in the frenzy of getting one of those "Black" jobs that were coming to Black people like manna from heaven. Trump had a large segment of the white evangelical population constantly telling us that he was the "anointed" one and they should not displease God. Speaking of Black jobs, where are they? If one would take a look at who Trump is hiring into his incoming administration, some color seems to be missing. Has anyone noticed all of those Black jobs being given to Black Republicans? So far, everyone to be hired when/if confirmed does not fit the description of an African-American person. Trump, or no one on his transition team has bothered to explain why there are no Black people hired. Could it be because of an issue that they ran with against Dems that now will necessitate an explanation that they accuse Dems of? Is Trump not hiring Black people because of DEI? As of press time, there is no Diversity within the incoming Trump Administration. Does Trump believe that Blacks Republicans are not equal to the task where fairness (Equity) is concerned? Will there be Inclusion once everyone is hired? And what will be the composition of non-white people in his administration? It looks as though Project 2025 got here just a tad too early. Of course, Trump will say that he knows nothing about what right-wing conservatives are planning to implement the second after Trump says "so help me God" in his oath. How far is Trump willing to stick his neck out for African-Americans without the far-right in his party complaining. How will he explain keeping or eliminating any DEI initiatives over the next four years? How often will Trump have "Black Town Halls" when the grumbling comes? He will probably run back to the guy who "loves" him and the one who sees no wrong in him while "Dixie" is playing in the background. Remember, the world is watching. So is God.
