A Brighter Day

This "joint" (poem) is dedicated to everyone that has waited on the Lord to intervene in the affairs of their lives that may not have understood the process they had to go thru in order to reap the benefits of His promises. He promised us that if we wait on Him, He would renew our strength and we would soar above our situations as eagles, run this race of life and not get weak because it is long and hard and walk in His footsteps enduring the fiery darts of the enemy as He did and not get tired. But, we must understand that He allows us to go thru hardships, disappointments and pain in order for us to see that life is too difficult to live without the help of a "higher" power. He puts us in situations so that we can be humbled and realize that we have to call on Him. GOD MAKES HIMSELF NECESSARY ! When we go thru problems in life that are too big for us, momma, daddy, husband, wife or even money, then they are just right for God. HE BENDS US AND WILL BREAK US IF NECESSARY TO CAUSE US TO CONFESS AND ADMIT THAT WE ARE NOT STRONG ENOUGH TO BEAR OUR CROSSES WITHOUT HIS HELP ! He allows us to experience the opposite of what we are longing for so that we will appreciate and recognize what we have, when He helps us to get it. If we were happy all the time, then there would be no need to have a God to give us peace. If we were up all the time, then there would be no need for a God to pick us up when we fall. If we were well all the time, then there would be no need for a God to give us healing. So, God permits us to go thru the trials and tribulations of life sometimes to force us to call on Him after we have tried everything that the world has to offer (drugs, sex, power, money, fame etc.) and it fails to bring us the peace we are searching for. And, when we try God and He delivers us from one thing, our faith grows and we learn to eventually trust Him with all things. Remember, that weeping may endure thru the night, but joy will come in the morning.

“A BRIGHTER DAY "

(Psalm 30:5, Isaiah 40:31, Galatians 6:9)

We wouldn’t know there was an up if there was no down

Wouldn’t appreciate a smile if there was no frown.

We wouldn’t recognize joy if there was no pain Wouldn’t have no flowers without the rain.

We wouldn’t know the warmth of love without the cold of hate

Wouldn’t be fulfilled, when we give, without the emptiness of take.

We wouldn’t know how to win if we didn’t lose Wouldn’t appreciate the wisdom of a wise man if we never heard a fool.

We wouldn’t know the thrill of victory without the agony of defeat

Wouldn’t realize we were at the bottom if no one was at their peak.

We wouldn’t thank God for the storms of life that He allows to rage

If we don’t be still while in our book , He is turning a page.

Yesterday, the wind was blowing and our skies were grey

But, God was only rolling back the clouds to give us “A BRIGHTER DAY”
