No Struggle, No Progress

United Way NELA Brighten Foster Children and Families Holidays

United Way of Northeast Louisiana is excited to announce a meaningful collaboration with 88.7 The Cross, Royal Family Kids NELA, and the Louisiana Foster Care Support Organization—a ministry of the Louisiana Methodist Children’s Home and Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home—to support foster children and families in the Monroe DCFS region this Christmas. This partnership aims to bring joy and holiday cheer to children and youth in foster care, as well as to adopted and biological children within these families. Thanks to the generosity of the Northeast Louisiana community, each child in foster care will receive thoughtful gifts this season. United Way NELA also invites the community to spread holiday joy by donating gifts online or volunteering to help wrap presents.

“This initiative reflects the power of a community coming together to make a difference,” said Jessica Hughes, Senior Volunteer UNITED Manager at United Way of Northeast Louisiana. “We’re proud to partner with local organizations and individuals dedicated to ensuring every child feels valued and celebrated this holiday season.”

Make the season brighter by donating a gift or volunteering to help wrap. To get involved, visit unitedwaynela.org/holidayproject for more information.
