No Struggle, No Progress
The Carver-McDonald Branch Library, at 2941 Renwick St. in Monroe, LA, will host an educational community program presented by Ellen Moynihan from the Alzheimer’s Association on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at 11:00 AM. Attendees will learn about the warning signs of Alzheimer’s, dementia, and other key information to recognize and understand these conditions. The program will cover essential topics such as: the differences between normal aging and Alzheimer’s, common warning signs, the importance of early detection and the benefits of diagnosis, steps and expectations for the diagnostic process, including healthy brain habits, and Alzheimer’s Association resources available to the public.
Additionally, the session will provide information on dementia and offer guidance on responding to challenging behaviors. Joyce Powell is the Carver-McDonald Branch Manager.
