Mt. Nebo 100th

The community is invited to join the festivities on November 10, 2024, at 2:00 PM to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the historic Mt. Nebo Elementary (Rosenwald) School. A preliminary celebration took place in August 2024 with the unveiling of a temporary marker. The school, which first opened on November 10, 1924, will be honored with the official marker unveiling on the original school grounds, now the Mt. Nebo Playground, on November 10, 2024, at 2:00 PM. Classmates, graduates, friends, and Monroe residents are encouraged to come celebrate this historic milestone at the Mt. Nebo Playground, located at the corner of Jackson St. and Thomas Ave. in Monroe, LA. This event is sponsored by the Mt. Nebo Playground Committee. All are welcome!
