Charles Michael, 68, was a beloved figure in the Monroe, LA community, known for his friendly presence at local events and gatherings. He was a familiar face at Mac's Fresh Foods, where he often enjoyed meals, and was a regular attendee at high school football and basketball games, reflecting his love for the community and its activities. Charles' deep connection with family and friends was a hallmark of his life, and his upbringing instilled in him a strong sense of respect, politeness, and good manners that were evident to all who knew him. As the youngest of 15 siblings, Charles cherished his family deeply, always maintaining those bonds throughout his life.
Charles passed away on Friday, October 25, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and love. His memory will be treasured by his three children-Markisha Jefferson Whitfield, Kendra Jefferson of Seattle, WA, and Jerel Jefferson of Atlanta, GA-as well as his grandson, Mason Whitfield of Seattle, WA. His Godmother, Ms. Cozie Jackson of Monroe, LA, along with his siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous friends, also mourn his loss. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 11:00 AM at St. Joe Baptist Church, located at 1446 Highway 15 South in Rhymes, LA, where his life and contributions to the community will be honored and remembered.
