No Struggle, No Progress
Blacks are under attack at an alarming rate, and no community is safe from gun violence. If this vicious cycle continues, future generations will perpetuate the violence. Over time, Blacks could become a slim minority if these trends persist. We must not wait for others to save us; we must act now to save our youth while there is still a B.A.L.M. available to help. Another family will mourn, and another will face the loss of a loved one to life in prison. When will we stop this vicious cycle? Shootings continue to reverberate across northeast Louisiana as law enforcement investigates a recent homicide in Rayville, LA. According to authorities from the Rayville Police Department and the Louisiana State Police Detective, Monroe Field Office, an investigation was launched following an October 26, 2024 homicide that occurred around 12:25 AM. An unidentified victim (as of press time) was killed near the intersection of Madeline St and Scott St. inside the city limits of Rayville, LA. You can contact them online at lsp.gov, click "Report Suspicious or Criminal Activity" using the form provided, or call the LSP Fusion Center Hotline at 1-800-434-8007.
There is a B.A.L.M. (a spiritual solution to a social problem) in Monroe and across the U.S. This collaborative plan encourages citizens, elected and appointed officials, clergy, and organizations to participate in efforts aimed at improving the image of Monroe and the U.S. while inspiring at-risk males and females to take greater responsibility for their actions and respect the lives of others. This balanced approach seeks to reduce violent crime and the murder rate in Monroe, LA, and across the nation. We thank God for law enforcement.
