The Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office (OPSO) has captured one of the alleged shooters involved in a shooting in the Swartz area. According to the Sheriff's Office, on September 28, 2024, deputies responded to an area near Smoker's Express located on Hwy 139 in reference to the shooting. No injuries were reported. When deputies arrived, the suspects had already left the scene. However, during their investigation, deputies were able to review surveillance footage of the two suspects. Based on the footage, they identified the suspects and issued warrants for their arrests. The suspects were identified as 20-year-olds Jamerrian Thomas and Jayden Juneau. Authorities recently announced that Thomas was apprehended while seeking treatment for minor injuries. He has been charged with Illegal Use of Weapons/Dangerous Instruments, Aggravated Assault with a Firearm, and Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property. The search for Juneau is ongoing, and authorities are asking the public to contact them with any information regarding his whereabouts.
