NAACP Branch 6068 B executive and general body committee has filed an Article 10 complaint with the national office of the NAACP to remove its current president, Ambrose Douzart. The filing was filed Monday, September 23, 2024. Members exceeded the number of required signatures to request such a removal. According to sources involved in the filing, this filing is a result of alleged false, unsubstantiated allegations by President Douzart concerning their sexual orientation, stating, “They are funny, they go the other way, “ and they're being accused of having sexual encounters with boys. President Douzart admitted to the allegations against two executive board members during an executive committee board meeting. During that meeting held on August 15, 2024, a board member asked Douzart if he made the allegations, and Douzart replied yes. The same member asked if it was true, and the president stated, “Of course. I have sources all over town”. One board member stated that if the organization is to protect the rights of individuals outside of the organization, they certainly have to protect those within it. A special call meeting of the executive committee was held on August 29, 2024 at which time a censure letter of reprimand was approved chastising President Douzart for his unfounded allegations. The national organization will conduct an investigation and review of the Article 10 claim to determine what if any, action is warranted. There are three sides to every story. This was one side of this story. The Monroe Dispatch welcomes the other or another side of this story,

Note: The names of the accused individuals are not printed to protect those against unconfirmed allegations.
