Disturbing Heartbreak

Disclaimer: All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Children in the company of some adults when left alone with them, can be a formula for heartbreak. This is true whether they are in the company or left alone with a member of the family or in the presence of a "family friend" with whom a female may be acquainted. A sexual assault of some kind will likely occur more than people would like to think. According to the Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office, on August 31, 2024, deputies responded to a Sterlington residence based on an alleged complaint of sexual assault. The person who made the complaint said that she left her 11-year-old daughter with her boyfriend who was identified as 27-year-old Dominque McWright of Shreveport, LA. According to the report, when the mother returned to her residence, the entrance door was locked. The mother repeatedly knocked on the door until her juvenile daughter answered it wearing only a shirt. Authorities were advised that the victim and the alleged suspect went to sleep fully clothed and was awaken by the knocking on the door. Deputies were advised by the victim that the genital area hurt, as semen was allegedly on the bed. McWright had fled the scene, but he was later apprehended by deputies. He was transported to Ouachita Correctional Center, charged with First-Degree Rape. There is a B.A.L.M. in Monroe and the U.S., a spiritual solution to a social problem.
