Cynthia L. Jefferson Fought the Good Fight

Cynthia L. Jefferson was a beacon of love and warmth to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her life was a testament to the power of faith, kindness, and perseverance. From an early age, Cynthia embraced her spiritual journey, joining St. Joe Baptist Church under the guidance of Rev. Reuben Oliver, Sr. She remained a devoted member, carrying the lessons of love and community with her wherever life took her. She was a graduate of Richwood High School where she was a proud member of the cheering squad, and Houston Community College, Houston, TX.

Cynthia's presence was a source of joy and comfort to her family and friends. To know her was to experience a love that was genuine and unwavering. Her memory will forever be cherished by those who were touched by her grace and kindness.

Preceded in death by her beloved parents, Ms. Mary Hughes Miley and Mr. Jesse Jefferson, Sr., both of Monroe, LA, and her brother, Jerry Robinson of West Monroe, LA, Cynthia now rests in peace, reunited with those she held dear.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Cynthia L. Jefferson, 58, a cherished former resident of Monroe, LA, will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 2:00 PM at St. Joe Baptist Church, 1446 Highway 15 South, Rhymes, LA, with Rev. Jason Cooper officiating.

Cynthia leaves behind a legacy of love and strength through her son, Jared Taylor (Angela) of Houston, TX; her two beloved grandchildren, Emory Taylor of Sacramento, CA, and Major Taylor of Houston, TX; her sister, Karen Jefferson of Houston, TX; and her brothers, Thomas Jefferson and Jesse Jefferson, Jr. (Tika), both of Monroe, LA. Aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, and countless friends will carry her memory in their hearts, cherishing the moments they shared with her.

In honor of Cynthia's enduring spirit and the courageous fight she waged, attendees of her service are invited to wear camouflage-colored attire. Cynthia truly fought the good fight, and her legacy of resilience and faith will continue to inspire all who knew her.
