Library/Kiwanis Reading for Bicycles

On August 8, 2024, ten children from Ouachita Parish received free bicycles as part of the Ouachita Parish Public Library and Kiwanis of Greater Ouachita's Bikes for Books Program at the Main Branch Library. These children won the grand prize drawing after completing the library's summer reading challenge, collectively reading over half a million pages. Literacy is crucial not only for a child's academic success but also for the well-being of the community. Among the winners was Christian Lewis.
