No Struggle, No Progress
As the election of the next president of the United States nears, more attention is being paid to presumptive Democratic nominee Kamala Harris. Republican nominee Donald Trump is looking for ways to become relevant now that Harris has taken center stage. Not making light of the attempt on Trump's life, but the truth of the matter is that Trump "wasn't protected" by God, it just was not Trump's time to die. Simple as that. Was Trump in the right place "at the wrong time" or vice versus will not change the fact that the bullet missed him and struck an innocent individual that the same could have been said about him being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Now that Trump has removed the bandage on his right ear, he is turning to the group that has held his back since 2016 being conservative Christians who believe that he is the answer to the evils that plague America, namely liberals. As was mentioned a few articles back, this reporter said that the evangelical right would get behind Trump and support him no matter what he says about Democrats, particularly Vice President Harris. This reporter is still trying to figure out how if there is going to be two separate areas when Jesus does come back, one for the conservatives and one for the liberals or will it be for "conservatives only" with Trump in the middle of the table. Speaking of tables, there is outrage of a setting at the Paris Olympics depicting what was described as members of the LGBQT community sitting at a table in gay apparel that conservatives "mocked" Jesus and his disciples at the Last Supper. Though that wasn't the group's intention, conservatives in America are using it as a means of changing the election by saying that Christianity is being attacked and that Donald Trump, aka King Cyrus will lead America to the Promised Land and make the nation great again. Many of them actually believe that. But one thing that Jesus did do, was to keep the affairs of his church and the affairs of the world separated because he did not subscribe to a particular political ideology. His message was of salvation for all, not just a particular group of people who wanted others to walk down their road. When so called Christians clap/cheer when Donald Trump insults people, especially women, perhaps they forget that women played a very important role in the gospels, not only when Jesus walked the Earth, but after he ascended to the heavens. Trump supporters now believe that when the shot rang out at 6:11p.m., that was a prophetic reference to Ephesian 6:11 where the scriptures teach us to put on the "whole armor of God", claiming that is what saved him in Pennsylvania. Has anyone ever heard Trump or even his supporters in Congress mention that they themselves adhere to the rest of the sixth chapter of Ephesian and not just one verse? Only if it will bring in the votes so they can implement Project 2025 if Trump is elected. Trump is smart enough to let his supporters do the heavy lifting and believe what they will, even if he truthfully does not share those beliefs. Remember, the world is watching. So is God.
