No Struggle, No Progress
And then there was one. It has been a bad couple of days for Donald Trump and Republicans who just knew that they had the election all sown up. Despite coming off of a lackluster convention that had more showmanship than subject, Republicans were eagerly waiting for the Democrats to hold their convention while they would continue to bash President Biden relentlessly over his age and mental faculties. Funny, how you can want something so bad thinking that you have it in your grasp, and presto, it slips right through your fingers. President Biden is having the last laugh on conservatives as he took all of the oxygen out of the room when he announced that he will not seek re-election for president. "Say it isn't so Joe", had to be what Donald Trump was saying because that was the last thing that they were expecting from President Biden. How do we know this? Just look at the reaction not only from Trump, but Republicans across the nation, as they had a complete melt down, just like the wicked witch in the "Wizard of Oz". "We’re melting!" Not taking it lightly is a highly understatement as Republicans (as of press time), have not come up with any kind of solution to the "age" problem that they will have with Donald Trump. Now that the "shoe is on the other foot", Republicans will start complaining about Biden's record and concentrate on what Trump will do, while trying to dodge what Project 2025 is all about. The fact that Trump wants to claim that he "knows nothing" about the ambitious program that Republicans want to implement if Trump wins, will now take center stage as Trump and his running mate J.D. Vance will try to change the subject. President Biden truly took one for the team by not running, but those Democrats who publicly helped push Mr. Biden out, owes him a tremendous debt for the sacrifice that he made for the country. One has to wonder if the roles were reversed, would Trump have made the same decision. If Kamala Harris is the nominee, Trump will not have a smooth ride to the White House because Harris can talk circles around Trump in a debate, minus the meandering of words that we see Trump do. The media already has a slogan for Democrats to run on called "The Prosecutor versus The Felon", which is NOT fake news, something that Republicans will not touch. There are those Democrats who are not happy with the way President Biden was treated, but it showed his patriotism where he chose country over party. He is truly the bigger man than people give him credit. Democrats should seize the moment as the pressure shifts to Republicans to protect Trump from the age/stamina/energy questions that are sure to be mentioned not only at their convention, but once the real campaigning begins. If anyone watched Trump's acceptance speech, he was anything but high energy suggesting that he should have had what Republicans claimed Biden was on when he gave this year's State of the Union Address. Trump has nowhere to run, this is one time when he is practically out there on an island all by himself. All 78 years. Remember, the world is watching. So is God.
