Breece Circle Shooting

Disclaimer: All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty. A shooting on July 10, 2024, left a Monroe man injured alongside another victim. The incident occurred near the intersection of Breece Cir. and South First St. in Monroe, LA. According to police, the victims were in a vehicle when one of them, seated in the right front passenger seat, was struck in the right thigh. The victim alleged that Allen Bolden, 27, allegedly fired at them. He reportedly used a black handgun with an extended magazine, which penetrated the front passenger door. Bolden also allegedly fired at the vehicle, hitting it from behind as the victims drove away.

Both victims sought medical treatment at a local hospital. On July 11, 2024, officers found Bolden on Magnolia St., where he was arrested and read his rights. Gunshot residue (GSR) tests conducted on Bolden's hands returned positive. Bolden has a criminal history, including a 2014 conviction for Simple Robbery and a 2013 charge for Aggravated Assault with a Firearm, which legally prohibits him from owning a firearm.

Bolden was booked on the following charges, 2 counts of Attempted Second-Degree Murder, Violation of a Protective Order, Illegal Use of Weapons or Dangerous Instruments, and Possession of a Firearm or Carrying a Concealed Weapon by a Person Convicted of Certain Felonies. As of press time, the alleged firearm has not been located. There are three sides to every story. This was one side of this story.
