No Struggle, No Progress

Offense Against Wrong Team

Imagine if you're on a football team and the championship is at stake. Even though it is a back/forth game, victory can still be yours if you play hard (not conservative) and aggressive. That's exactly what Democrats need to do if they want to win by rallying around their star player who happens to be President Joe Biden. Instead of going on offense as in football, they are letting the defense (Republicans) dictate how the game is being played by putting up the idea that Biden is finished as a leader. The problem with Democrats in the race for the White House is that they are playing "offense" against themselves instead of taking the game(fight) to Republicans, Donald Trump in particular. Democrats have let Trump and the Republican seize the narrative on whether Biden is fit for office, even as some are looking for an alternative candidate to run against Trump. That is offensive to the voters who put Biden in office and who can do so again in 2024. They are pushing the panic button because of a not-too-good debate from Biden, while overlooking the fact that Trump did not win any debate awards with his performance either. Biden may be three years older than Trump, but he is still light-years ahead of Trump when it comes to speaking in a coherent tone. They should remind voters that Trump is not the man that he claims to be and not play dead, but take the fight to Republicans. Do not let them dictate the outcome of the contest by talking about age when the same thing applies to their candidate. There is an endless supply of videos showing Trump rambling incoherently at rallies and also taking long pauses as he speaks indicating that he loses his words or concentration when speaking. When Trump tells voters he "can do better" in office than Biden, Democrats and the media need to constantly ask him how. They should also constantly ask voters if they are comfortable electing a convicted felon to the nation's highest office. Ask them if they are comfortable with someone on the world stage sitting with our allies openly admiring dictators of whom the U.S. may have to fight against. Somewhere in the narrative what Democrats should ask voters is, if morals matter in a leader, especially In a nation that prides itself as a "Christian" one. Biden has a history of public service while Trump has a history of failed businesses. Also, Democrats with their lackluster push back against Republicans is the biggest insult to the millions of voters who did their part to put Biden in the White House. As they say in the world of sports, Democrats need to go on offense and "ram the ball" down the throats of Republicans, the same as Republicans are doing to them. Dems, you need to go on a strong offense against the other team and stop shortchanging the party. Remember, the world is watching. So is God.
