A New Stride in Year 45

The Richwood High School Class of 1979 celebrated their 45th High School Reunion from Friday, May 24 to Sunday, May 26, 2024, in Monroe, LA. The festivities began with a Meet & Greet on Friday, hosted by classmate Kirk Clark at his beautiful and spacious Airbnb in Monroe, where the men of the class provided a delicious meal.

On Saturday morning, a Memorial Balloon Release was held at the high school to remember classmates who have passed away, featuring keynote speaker Jacqueline Johnson Nwufoh. That evening, a Black Tie Gala was held at The W Event Center, beautifully decorated by classmate Tandy Johnson Shamblin, with a delightful dinner served by Ed's Catering of Monroe. The reunion concluded on Sunday with services at Believers Choice Ministries, where classmates Rev. Steve Hunter, Rev. Marshall Frazier, and Dr. Carolyn Benton January shared the Word of God. Congratulations to the Class of '79 for celebrating, "A New Stride in Year 45!"
