No Struggle, No Progress
Former president Donald Trump paid a visit to New Orleans to raise money on the campaign trail, as he rubbed elbows with some conservative elites. You didn't think that Trump was going to hang around people who don't have money, did you? Though Trump will have rallies in the heat where his supporters are dropping like flies from the heat, the money that was raised for him on this particular trip was from a wealthy uptown donor. On hand to the perspective Republican presidential nominee at the "Louie” (Louis Armstrong Int'l Airport) were Gov. Jeff Landry, Sen. John (not that one) Kennedy and Congressman Steve Scalise. It would seem that neither of the three leaders were uneasy to be seen in the company of a convicted felon, who may be facing jail time after having been convicted on 34 counts. Though Trump is not in prison (yet), it makes one wonder how many other convicted felons the governor, senator and representative will visit in jail; let alone be seen in their company. So much for the Christian "value" of visiting those in jail. Trump was not greeted by a throng of supporters or protesters because he was in the Big Easy only long enough to "take the money and run". Louisiana is not a battleground state for Trump to win the presidency, as he will bypass the Bayou State and concentrate in states like Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania. Trump may be raising a ton of money, but media reports suggests that his campaign is more concerned on how he will perform in the first presidential debate of 2024. The standards for Trump to perform must be low, as there are reports that suggests Biden "will be high" on something if he "overperforms". More on that next week. Trump reportedly walked away with 5 million dollars in donations. That gumbo must have been really, really good. Remember, the world is watching. So is God.
