No Struggle, No Progress

Growing Up

Hello everyone! This week I will be discussing growing up. I recently watched the movie "Inside Out 2". I distinctly remember watching the first one. The person who watched the first "Inside Out" is still there, but she's grown up, physically and mentally. She no longer plays with Barbies or begs to go to the toy aisle of a store instead she begs to go to the skin care aisle of the store and waits in anticipation as a new video game date is dropped—the same little girl who'd rush straight home after school every day to play Mortal Kombat. The same little girl who'd be under the cover after her bedtime reading with a flashlight is still up after her bedtime reading. Lastly, the same little girl who'd go to the library and walk out carrying a stack of books taller than her is now walking out of a bookstore doing the same thing, but only this time holding a smoothie in her hand. It's okay to grow up, and as you grow up you begin to realize your inner child has never changed, your body just has.
