No Struggle, No Progress
The old saying "age is just a number" is really getting a closer look as we head to the fall presidential election. We have also heard the word "old" more times than you can "shake a stick at" simply because two old men are running for one of the most powerful governmental positions on Earth. Donald Trump, 78 and President Joe Biden, 81 are two old men, make no mistake about it. Both have thinning hair, as Trump wouldn't want to be seen on a rainy or windy day. The bald spot on Biden's head is something that you can't miss. Both men are not known for fast walking, or running as that is out of the question. Father time has caught up to them, though neither one will say that unless it is a gaffe. As voters head to the polls, the ages of both men will be on their minds. Perhaps the one factor may determine which way voters will go, is who their vice president picks are. Biden is expected (may change) to pick current (and younger) VP Kamala Harris, while Trump has the "big tent" of options. He has the white male/female, two Black men and two Hispanics. Ah, the "gumbo pot" of America. They are younger than Trump also, but their policies and their subservient behavior to Trump is troubling for so many Americans, especially weaponizing the government against Trump's perceived political enemies. President Biden and former (stop calling him president) President Donald Trump is basically the best the U.S. can offer on where the nation goes in the next four years. Who is better suited/prepared both mentally/physically to withstand the rigors/stress as the world moves closer to biblical end times. Trump is telling everyone who will listen that Biden is incompetent and should take a cognitive test, as he once did. Trump has always claimed that has a "superior" memory, that he doesn't forget anything. Just recently while speaking to his supporters, Trump said that he passed the test performed by his White House doctor, Ronny Johnson—twice. The only thing about that was, the test was performed by Dr. Ronny JACKSON. How soon we forget. Some older people like to deny repeatedly not saying certain things though they in fact did. Trump said that Milwaukee is a "terrible" city, is now denying saying that because of the political backlash. And former president Barack Obama continues to live inside of Trump's head even when the conversation is about Biden. Too be fair, Biden has had issues when speaking confusing the names of leaders who are either dead or living with other leaders. He is also alleged to have "froze" for long seconds when speaking that the Trump campaign jumps on. It can probably be said that their "better days" are behind them, as age will win out every time. Trump wants to win in order to stay out of court and jail. Biden wants to "finish" what he started four years ago. What kind of legacy both men will leave determines their place in history. And that is what every individual should want. Their age is a "liability" for both men, because nothing is guaranteed that they will around four years from now. Let's do our duty and vote. Remember, the world is watching. So is God.
