Memorial Dr, Shooting Juveniles Sought

Monroe police officials recently announced the arrest of a suspect allegedly involved in a shooting thar occurred on Memorial Drive. According to police reports, on June 12, 2024, a shooting had officers responding to the scene where they found an adult male victim suffering from the shooting on Memorial Drive in Monroe LA. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment. During the course of their investigation, MPD asked the community for help on identifying the alleged shooters and their whereabouts. According to a news report from MPD, one of the alleged shooting suspects had been taken into custody. The suspect is said to be a juvenile who has been arrested on charges of Attempted Second-Degree Murder, Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Second-Degree Murder and Possession of a Firearm by a Juvenile. In addition to announcing the arrest, MPD also identified three other suspects allegedly involved in the shooting. Arrest warrants have been obtained for Suspects Traquarrius Long and 15-year-old Arnaysia Smith for Attempted Second-Degree Murder and Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Second-Degree Murder. The third suspect is also a juvenile, is identified as Steven Miles 14, who is wanted for Attempted Second-Degree Murder, Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Second-Degree Murder and Possession of a Firearm by a Juvenile.
