Library Hot Dog Adventure

Carver-McDonald Branch Library at 2941 Renwick St., Monroe, LA held a community program on Thursday June 6, 2024,. with presenter Christ Lewis, owner of the Coney Island Connection and Bigman Trucking. Library patrons received a hot dog with chili, a book to start reading for their Summer Reading Program, and a Louisiana shaped Tea Cake by Teacake Wonderland Sharon Taylor. A library bag was also given with the theme for the summer reading program, "Adventure Begins At Your Library," to keep their books for their summer reading. You really missed a treat! IT WAS STANDING ROOM ONLY! Chris Lewis is a dynamic force at 34, not just as the successful owner of Coney Island Connection and Bigman Trucking but as a relentless seeker of impact and adventure. Graduating from the University of Louisiana at Monroe's School of Private Investigation, Chris is now seeking a Criminal Justice degree at Louisiana State University. Beyond the boardroom, Chris is a devoted family man, juggling engagements and five kids-two girls and three boys. Chris Lewis isn't just a businessman; he's a true maverick, a role model, mentor, and motivator. His journey isn't just a testament to compassion and generosity; it's living proof that together, we can create a world that's better, brighter, and full of community spirit. Chris's community spirit is a beacon, earning him multiple recognitions and awards, among them the Community Service Award from the NAACP and was voted King of the local Krewe De Riviere Mardi Parade.
