Enhanced Emergency Care for Sickle Cell Children

MedicAlert Foundation, in collaboration with Northeast LA Sickle Cell Anemia Foundation (NELASCAF) and supported by the LA Department of Health announces the launch of a pilot program aimed at improving emergency care for children with sickle cell in Northeast LA. In a pain crisis, opioids are often needed to relieve the child’s suffering while face extended wait for care or ineffective lower dosages.
