CityStart Financial Empowerment

The City of Monroe, in partnership with Bloomberg Philanthropies Cities for Financial Empowerment, CityStart Financial Empowerment Summit as the final event in the City Start grant community engagement. This event was facilitated by Katrina Branson, was aimed at fostering discussions on financial empowerment and wealth equity in the black community on Friday May 3, 2024, at The Terrace, on the 7th floor of the Library on the University of Louisiana Monroe's campus. The CityStart Financial Empowerment Summit represented a crucial step in addressing the economic barriers faced by black residents.
