No Struggle, No Progress

ShaBang Ain't Nobody's Business

Record Breaking Sales

After returning from the Iraq war, Shereka ShaBang faced challenges readjusting to civilian life. She attributes her music career and her role as The Veteran's Ambassador for inspiring her. Recently elected as the Commander of Disabled American Veterans Chapter 51 at the Chennault Aviation and Military Museum on April 11, 2024, ShaBang's journey took a new turn. ShaBang started her music career in 2016, but until this year, it remained unprofitable and merely a hobby. In today's music industry, where streaming dominates, artists struggle to generate sales. However, ShaBang discovered that an artist only needs 500 sales in the first week to start charting, compared to 1 million streams. Realizing this, she began asking her supporters to purchase her music.

This strategic move paid off handsomely. After sending a personal message to her supporters, sales skyrocketed, surpassing her entire career's sales in just one week. Fans not only bought her new single, "Ain't Nobody's Business," but also purchased her entire catalog and physical CDs. Each sale boosted her algorithm, prompting companies like Spotify and Apple to promote her single at no cost. Thanks to her supporters, Spotify has started promoting "Ain't Nobody's Business" to their subscribers. ShaBang invites all Louisianians to join her in making history by purchasing her single and joining her mailing list. Physical copies are available for $10 at the Chennault Aviation and Military Museum (701 Kansas LN, Monroe, LA 71203) Tuesday - Saturday, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM, with some proceeds going towards disabled veterans' initiatives.
