Remembering George Strong

George Allen Strong born January 9, 1956 the eighth child of Mary and Melvin Strong, transitioned on March 29, 2024. George was an honor student at Carroll high school and graduated in 1974. He went on to earn his bachelors degree at Rust College in 1978. he was an avid basketball player and love taking time with his nieces and nephews. He is survived by his daughter, Marchandrea Cunningham and eight siblings. Services will be at Riverside Baptist Church 2601 Powell Ave. in Monroe on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 11 AM. Visitation will be held at Smith funeral home on Winnsboro Road on Friday, April 19, 2024 from 3 PM to 5 PM.
