Frightening Car Crash

A hit-and-run crash on March 3, 2024, at 5:16 AM, on Milhaven Road in Monroe, LA, resulted in serious injuries and an arrest. Video footage showed two vehicles speeding west, with the second trying to pass the first in the eastbound lane. The second vehicle struck the first, causing it to spin across both lanes and crash into a power pole and a house.

The driver of the second vehicle,Suspect Antoine Standifier, fled the scene but was later identified through his Facebook profile. Standifier had a history with the victim, including a recent home invasion where he allegedly entered her home without permission, causing damage and stealing property. Police reports revealed that Standifer and the victim had been in a relationship for nearly 20 years before ending it two years ago. The victim suffered severe injuries, including a head injury, and is in a medically induced coma at a Shreveport hospital. The suspect was arrested and charged with Attempted Second-Degree Murder, Hit and Run Driving, Theft, and Home Invasion.
