At Martin Luther King Jr. Junior High School in Monroe, LA, an inaugural book signing for "The Heart of Wildcats" took place on February 23, 2024. MLK Jr. Junior High students wrote and read their poetry to their families, faculty, and fellow students. Ms. Jamie Mayes facilitated the poetry readings and book signing, with acknowledgments from Mrs. Lametria Robinson and closing remarks from MLK principal Michael Price Sr. The event concluded with a book signing held in the school's atrium.
