Monroe Chamber's 36th Leadership Ouachita

Established in 1988 by the Monroe Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Ouachita aims to develop and empower emerging leaders in northeast Louisiana. The program seeks to transform the region into a premier place to live and do business. Since its inception, over 950 residents have graduated from the program. The 9-month program begins with an opening retreat at Cypress Bend Resort in Many, Louisiana. This retreat includes basic leadership assessments and participation in SIMSOC, a simulated society. Monthly sessions continue through November and cover topics such as government advocacy, workforce development, and infrastructure. These sessions focus on aspects of the community where leadership is crucial for making an impact.
