No Struggle, No Progress
We hear it repeated all the time- the phrase, “Life is too short”; yet, some of the same people saying it, are living like they'll live on this side forever. There are people making only temporary decisions, to please their flesh, instead of doing what the Bible teaches in Colossians 3:2 (Set your affections on things above, not on things on earth.) There is a song that tells us to build our hopes on things eternal. I suggest we all do so, and not live like where we are spending the days of our pilgrimage, is our home. When this life is over, no material possessions will follow us. Whatever popularity and influence we have will cease to matter to us, wherever we are. What will matter, is in God’s eyes- how we’re viewed. What will matter, is what we have done with the life God gave us. We can’t take back deeds done, but we can always do better. This is the time readers, to do better. This is the time to live with eternity on our minds and the Lord and Savior in our hearts. We have a lover of our souls. The Lord cares deeply for us, but HE won’t force us to accept Him. I don’t care who we are or who we think we are, the end of all things will prove to us all, that earth and ashes return to their former state, and all souls belong to God. We don’t have time to play with our eternity. We make decisions everyday, that determine where we will spend eternity. I pray that you will make the best of what’s temporary on this side, while building your hopes on things eternal.
