No Struggle, No Progress

Prime Time Family Reading Program

Prime Time Family Reading Program brings families together for a free evening of fun-one night a week for six weeks to read award-winning children’s books, and then participate in a discussion centered around the important themes such as fairness, courage, and other topics. Our discussion strategies are proven to increase creativity, critical thinking, and academic success. Your child keeps the books to add to their home library. Prime Time Family Reading Program is designed for families with children 6-10 years old, but siblings of any age are welcome to join. There will be door prizes and a light lunch. Prime Time partners with local schools, libraries, and community groups to bring this free program to local families. This program is developed for a lifelong love of reading for children. Prime Time Family Reading Program is an initiative of the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities.
