It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. Robert Carter, an iconic figure in Monroe, LA, particularly at the Johnson Community Center. Mr. Carter served as an inspiration to countless boys and girls who frequented the community center. He played a pivotal role in transforming the careers of many athletes, motivating them to give their best. Beyond that, he served as a father figure not only to his own children but also to the thousands he encountered, guiding them in the right direction. Mr. Carter peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 27, 2024. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at 2: 00 PM at True Vine Baptist Church in Monroe, LA. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, February 2, 2024, 1:00 - 6:00 PM at Miller Funeral Home in Monroe, LA.
