No Struggle, No Progress

Grambling Football Working with Nothing

Coach Hue Jackson and Grambling State University officially parted ways on Monday, November 27, 2023. The former Grambling Head Football Coach was set to retire after two seasons, according to sources, due to the lack of resources with high expectations to win football games, fill the stadium, and bring Grambling back to football prominence. Allegedly, none of Coach Jackson's assistants were hired due to a lack of resources, and the rest of the story follows-no money or pocket change equals very few wins, fans, and revenue!

With a 50th Bayou Classic drubbing by Southern 49-7, Grambling finds itself as the dark horse of the SWAC, a position unbelievable by Grambling Football standards. What was one of the most promising hires a couple of seasons ago has become a coach's nightmare, unless the school provides necessary resources-not crumbs. Coach Jackson only had a two-year guaranteed contract. Interestingly, the next Grambling Football Coach- who will it be? They will have more than football to figure out!
