No Struggle, No Progress
Event part of corporate incentive program celebrating long-serving team members
Recently, Lexicon, Inc. presented $10,000 checks to 13 employees as part of a program started by company founder, the late Tom Schueck, to recognize the service and dedication of 20-year team members. The presentation occurred during an awards ceremony and luncheon held at the company's headquarters at 8900 Fourche Dam Pike in the Port of Little Rock. "In a labor market where average employee tenure continues to decline, it's incredible and humbling to celebrate employees who have dedicated two decades of service to our company," said Lexicon CEO Patrick Schueck. "Our people are our greatest asset, and we would not be where we are today without their talent, hard work and dedication. As a company, we are committed to investing in their success and well-being through this initiative, our Lexicon University workforce training program, an on-site health clinic that provides in-person services and telemedicine, and much more." Since the 20-year incentive program began in 2002, Lexicon has recognized nearly 200 employees, awarding nearly $3 million to those who have reached this important milestone. During the luncheon, which welcomed approximately 400 team members and guests, Lexicon leadership publicly recognized 20-year employees in front of their colleagues, friends and families, awarding them with all-taxes-paid checks and steel I-beam trophies. The company also recognized two employees who celebrated 35 years of dedicated service. In addition to awards for length of service, Lexicon debuted a new award this year, the "Good Catch" award, which recognized employees who noticed a potential safety risk and spoke up about it. "Keeping every single member of our team safe and reducing the risk of injury and fatalities is absolutely our top priority and essential to what we do," said Schueck. "We are pleased to add a new award this year to recognize these incredible efforts to keep our team safe." "Good Catch" award recipients were presented with an award, as well as a $2,500 check. Honorees for each category, listed below, included employees from the company's corporate division, as well as Lexicon Industrial Maintenance, Lexicon Industrial Constructors, Lexicon Energy Services, Prospect Steel, Steel Fabricators of Monroe and Heritage Links, the company's golf course construction arm.
