No Struggle, No Progress

Slammed Doors Pistol Pulled

It doesn't take much for the tide to change in relationships abruptly in the 21st century. Many attempt to escape trouble at the expense of getting violently hit or shot. Every domestic dispute has different outcomes; some escape wrath while others are victims. According to police, a verbal altercation took place when the victim exited the residence, slamming the door. The suspect also exited the home with a pistol in hand, allegedly pointing at the victim on November 11, 2023, in West Monroe, LA. Being in fear for his life and fearing the suspect, Sherbert S. Bradley would shoot, the victim was able to escape.

Law enforcement contacted the suspect, and more details were revealed. The victim shared that a verbal altercation started with her live-in boyfriend of two years, where the victim went from the bedroom to the kitchen, slamming the door. While not knowing what the victim was doing in the kitchen, the suspect retrieved her pistol from her purse and walked outside. The suspect pretended to load a round in the gun chamber but never did, never pointing a gun in the victim's direction as the victim fled the area when the suspect left the residence with the gun. The suspect was arrested and charged with Domestic Abuse Aggravated Assault. There are three sides to every story. This was one side of this story. The Monroe Dispatch welcomes another or the other side of this story.
