No Struggle, No Progress
Choosing how to respond and react when you have been treated unfairly is very critical to your overall happiness, peace, and success. Even as a young adult, I can vividly remember times when individuals would mistreat me simply because of how I looked and how intelligent I was. I was never the type to really “clap” back and I still don’t today, but it would hurt me on the inside. My mom, on the other hand, would always take up for me and my sister when things would go wrong or when people would mistreat us. She said something to me earlier this week that really made me think deeper about what was going on in life. She told me she was going to work on how she responds and reacts to others when they anger her. Now, you may ask, how does this apply to me, well my response and reactions used to be just keeping things in that bothered me. I am not doing that anymore and I challenge my readers to do the same. Before you wallow in self-neglect or blow up on somebody, change the way you respond and react. It is better for you.
