Gun Pulled Home Invasion

Disclaimer: All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty. A West Monroe woman is behind bars after she was arrested on October 27, 2023, and charged with Home Invasion. West Monroe PD said it all began back on September 23, 2023, when Zerrae M. Pratt went to the home of her ex-boyfriend. She allegedly was accompanied by two unidentified males, according to police. The victim said the entrance to his residence was done when the back door was kicked in. According to court documents, police said that one of the males with Pratt allegedly produced a handgun, as the other male subject placed his hand in his pants pocket as if he also had a gun on him. The victim was made to stand in a corner while Pratt allegedly searched the couch where the victim was said to hide his money. Police said that Pratt found the money, and she and the two males who accompanied her left the residence. When officers arrived and began questioning the victim about what happened, he received a phone call and was told that Pratt had been dropped off at her home on Montgomery Avenue. Acting upon that information, officers went to Pratt's home, but no one answered the door. While at the address, officers noticed an eviction notice written to Pratt on the front door. Police continued the search that ultimately led to her arrest. Now that Pratt is behind bars, her bond has been set at $25,000.
