OCS wide receiver Tate Hamby (#13) was named DownSouth Sports Magazine's Most Valuable Player of the Game in the Eagles's 48-14 beat down victory over the Ouachita Lions on September 28, 2023 at Lions Stadium. Tate is a Vanderbilt D1 commit had an outstanding game with 180 receiving yards with 3 touchdowns and passed for another TD on a trick play. He also had a fumble recovery.
