No Struggle, No Progress

Elizabeth Siggal Morgan 84, was born March 24, 1939 in Rayville LA to the late Benjamin Siggal Sr. and Viola Davison Siggal who preceded her in death. She was the seventh child of fifteen children, ten siblings preceded her in death (four brothers and six sisters). Elizabeth moved to Monroe LA at a very early age. In the late 90's she joined Springhill Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Jimmy R. spears, where she was a loyal and faithful member. She was an active member of the choir where she devoted her time, talent and treasure to its success. In later years, she moved her membership to Mary Goss Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. C. Jerome Lynch until the Lord called her from labor to reward. On June 29, 1959, Elizabeth married Cicero Morgan Jr. To this union seven children were born five sons and two daughters. Cicero Morgan Jr. (husband), Octavia Denise Morgan (daughter), and Kenneth Raymond Morgan (son) preceded her in death. She was a devoted wife, mother and sister to her family and the community. Elizabeth was a 1957 Carroll High School Graduate. She served many years as a member of the Carroll High School Band Parents, where she worked the concession stands raising funds to support the Carroll High School Band. She was also a dedicated member of the Carroll High School Booster Club and cheered the Carroll High School Football Team on to very victory. She was a talented and creative seamstress. Elizabeth enjoyed making outfits for her family and friends. In her later years, she gained a love for quilting, and she has made beautiful quilts for her loved ones. She will be greatly missed. Left to cherish memories are one daughter Althedia Monroe LA, four sons Elliott (JoAnn) Plano TX, Stanley Groveland CA, Keith (Janet) Ventress LA, Calvin (Crystal) Florissant MO, one daughter in law Dawana Morgan Monroe LA, four siblings Carrie Richmond, Evon McCoy, Vivian (Bob) Woodard, Ronald James Siggal, one sister in law Yvonne Jackson, beloved friends Bonnie Wade and Joyce Coleman, beloved cousin Mamie Donald(Shot), sixteen grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren and a host of nieces , nephews and other relatives and friends. Her funeral services were September 16, 2023 at Mary Goss Baptist Church in Monroe LA.
