No Struggle, No Progress
Michelle Johnson Richard is delighted to be a part of Winnsboro Elementary School (WES) in Winnsboro, LA, and honored to serve as its new principal! The school community has dedicated, talented members committed to doing what is in the best interest of students, and will continue to put students first at WES and work diligently to ensure their academic success. Richard's professional background is rooted in elementary education and leadership. For the past 33 years, she has worked in the public education sector in various roles, such as Highly-Certified Teacher, Mentor Coach, Model Teacher for Student Teachers, Interventionist, and Teacher of the Year. Richard has taught in Florida, Texas, and Louisiana in both rural and urban academic settings. In addition to her professional achievements, her greatest accomplishment is my family. Richard is a mother of two beautiful young ladies and Gigi to two beautiful grandchildren, Ryleigh and Rapheal Jr. As a mother, she always wants what is best for her children. Therefore, she will work tirelessly to ensure other children receive superior care and the best possible experiences at Winnsboro Elementary. She plans to work closely with the district, parents, and community to meet the unique needs of the beloved students. Richard is committed to embracing the positive traditions and practices already in place at Winnsboro Elementary while working diligently to ensure their success in the future.
Her motto is "Students First, Every Day", and she believes all children should receive an exemplary education in an environment that is safe and conducive to learning. She believes together, we can help our children excel and provide them with an education that is second to none. Richard is honored and humbled to serve as the new principal of Winnsboro Elementary and looks forward to meeting the children, parents, and community members. She is excited about all that will be accomplished together for the children and looks forward to celebrating collective successes this school year. Richard believes everything happens for a reason; without God ordering her steps, none of this would be possible.
