Shooting Suspects Identified

Disclaimer: All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Another shooting has led to someone's life coming to an end. Monroe Police responded to a call around 3:30 PM, February 24, 2023, on Forest Ave., where they found an unidentified male at the scene who had been shot. The male's condition was unknown at arrival, as he was taken to an area hospital for treatment. Also at that time, police had no information as to who the shooter(s) may have been as they began their investigation. A nearby school was placed on lockdown as a precaution, but restrictions were lifted shortly after, according to Monroe Police. Shortly after the shooting, Monroe Police made a major announcement about the Forest Ave. shooting. Police identified the victim of the tragic shooting but have also announced who the alleged shooters are. In a press release, MPD identified the victim as Ladarius Bradley, who died from his injuries. Police say that they have identified who they believe are the alleged suspects involved in the shooting. The alleged suspects have been identified as Kevin Berry and Roddrick Bass. Both individuals should be considered dangerous, as MPD is asking anyone who may know of their whereabouts, to contact MPD at 318-329-2600 or Crime Stoppers of North Delta at 318-388-CASH(2274). Update: One of the alleged Forest Ave. killers have been captured. 19-year-old Roddrick Bass, known as "Trippy", was arrested after being positively identified as one of the individuals who fired the fatal shots that killed Bradley in February 2023. Police said that Bradley knew Bass and another alleged suspect, identified as Kevin Berry, as the three men were together on the fateful evening when it was alleged that Bradley was "in the wrong place at the wrong time" when an argument allegedly ensued between the three individuals. A witness to the incident said that Berry and Trippy(Bass) fired shots at Bradley, hitting him in the back of the head, left bicep, and upper chest. Another witness placed Berry at the Forest Ave. location, saying he saw Berry get out of a blue/green Tahoe on Forest Ave. Berry, according to authorities, was dressed in blue pants and a white hoodie that was supported by video evidence supplied by a witness. Though Bradley was taken to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries, he would later succumb to those injuries. Bass has been charged with Second Degree Murder.
