Shooting Death

Disclaimer: All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Ouachita Sheriff's Deputies responded to a discharging firearms complaint on Chatham Drive in Monroe, LA, at 11:50 PM, July 9, 2023. One victim, Tito Ambers, was found dead at the scene from apparent gunshot wounds. A second victim was also found with gunshot wounds and is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital. Their identity is not being released at this time. An investigation into the incident has led to the arrest of Kenneth L. Kennedy, 29, of Monroe, LA. Kennedy has been booked into OCC on one count of 2nd Degree Murder and one count of Attempted 2nd Degree Murder. No further details are available at this time.
