No Struggle, No Progress
Sadly missed is Stanley Ray Scott, 69, who passed on Sunday, June 25, 2023. Stanley was born September 28, 1953, in Monroe, LA, to Johnnie Mae Scott and Leslie Scott. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Stanley attended Carroll High School. He served eight years in the United States Marine Corps, which he served and completed with an honorable discharge. He ranked as a sergeant. He worked several years at General Motors, St. Francis Medical Center, and, lastly, twelve years at Walmart. Stanley was one of the coolest brothers in Monroe, LA. Many had admiration for him, especially his ace Willie Lee Davis. He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie Mae Scott and Leslie Scott, and daughter, Tanisha Diggins. He is survived by his sister, Barbara Smith; children - Chiquita Scott and Demetrius Scott (Mikola) of Los Angeles, CA, Christopher Harper, Roshiner Robinson, Chamise Exkano, De'Anjuan Cloman (Renisha), Stantavius Cloman, and Alleria Walker; special friend, Ramona Jenkins; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other loved ones. Memorial services are Thursday, July 6, 2023, at 11:00 AM at the Northeast Louisiana Veterans' Cemetery, 2412 US-425, Rayville, LA.
