No Struggle, No Progress

Clydell Jones' Treasured Farewell

The road to glory has no appointed time or date which all must travel. One never knows when the end will come while we should live everyday as if its your last. Clydell Pugh Jones was a pillar in the Monroe LA Community. She was a mother, grandmother, an advocate and a friend. She was a former educator who gave all she had to her student's way past the books. She was a community servant serving and helping many causes. She was a church pillar at her church St. Timothy Baptist Church in Monroe LA. There wasn't a church program or time when Clydell was not at the church unless she was ill. She was the president of the Owl Street Ministry helping many causes the homeless shelter, scholarship for high school students and all other needs of the community. Clydell would always rally to help with any type of needs of those who were troubled or needed. She was a voice of reason, while always willing to lend a helping hand, she loved her children and grandchildren and if called she would be wherever in a moments notice. Her presence was always felt at church, especially with programs where she would make sure everything was in order. She will truly be missed. Clydell went home to be with the Lord on Monday June 5, 2023. Her funeral arrangements will be announced from the funeral home. Farewell to one of our best Clydell Pugh Jones who left a legacy in Monroe LA.
