No Struggle, No Progress

Don't Let Them on Your Ship

We've discussed the story of Jonah many times. Mostly, Believers speak of Jonah's disobedience leading him in the mouth of the big fish, but few speak on what his disobedience caused others.

Jonah disobeyed God, and boarded the ship of others, trying to run away from what God asked of him. He went down into the ship and fell asleep.

Meanwhile, the Lord sent a great wind and that ship was being affected by that storm greatly. It was getting pounded so much that it was almost broken. The storm wasn’t for the men on the ship; it was for Jonah, but they had him on their ship; so, they were in danger as well. They could’ve died, but they threw him over. He survived and so did they.

We are in serious times, and it’s no time to neglect prayer. We must both ask the Lord for and use discernment in what and who we allow in our lives.

Many are suffering from storms that were never theirs to endure. They just allowed the wrong person/people into the “ship”. For someone reading this, it is time to get that “Jonah” off of your ship, before something worse happens.

There is no place that we can run from God; so don’t try to save someone God’s disciplining. Don’t let the person living in rebellion, cause you to miss your blessings, and worse- get a storm that was never meant for you.

Obey God, no matter who it offends. Next time, if they’re living in rebellion to the Lord, pray for them, but do not let them on your “ship” (in your life).
