Dating App Rape

Disclaimer: All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Back in the old days, if a guy wanted to see that special someone, he usually went by the young lady’s home. If she wasn’t living at home, he went by her apartment. Nowadays, with dating apps on the scene, it is “pick and choose”. What was once a fad has now turned into something for those who perhaps want something different, with maybe a little adventure thrown in for good measure, but sometimes, things can go horribly wrong. A local man is under arrest facing a serious charge of rape for his alleged involvement with a woman he met through a dating app. On May 19, 2023, officers of West Monroe went to a local hospital in response to a sexual complaint. At the hospital, officers interviewed a female who claimed that she was sexually assaulted by an individual named Robert Moore. The female told officers that she made contact with Moore through a dating app and agreed to meet him at Contempo Apartments in West Monroe LA, where he allegedly lived. The victim said she knew him by the name of Rob Bo Moore. While at the apartment, things began to take a turn for the worst. The victim told officers that she told Moore she did not intend to have sexual intercourse during the date. According to police, Moore allegedly tried time and time again to have sex with the victim. The victim said that she “eventually” gave in and had consensual intercourse with Moore. During the act, the victim said she told Moore that she didn’t wish to continue, at which Moore allegedly stopped. But, as the victim started gathering her clothes, Moore allegedly got back on top of the victim and forced the victim to continue to have sex with him. Moore has been arrested and booked for Third Degree Rape and Resisting an Officer. Moore’s bond is $200,500. There are three sides to every story. This was one side of this story.
