Another fatal shooting occurred in the Monroe area when law enforcement responded to a shooting that killed one man. According to a report from the Ouachita Parish Sheriff's office, deputies were notified on Sunday, March 5, 2023 around 3:00 AM of a shooting that occurred on Burg Jones Lane in Monroe, LA. Upon arrival at Burg Jones Lane and Thelma Drive, deputies discovered a deceased male with a gunshot wound. Deputies began an investigation of the incident but did not identify the victim. Deputies are still investigating what happened but have not reported any new details as of press time. The deceased individual was Daijour McFee. Deputies urge anyone in the community who might have information that can help them solve this homicide to call the Sheriff's office at 318-329-1200.
