No Struggle, No Progress

Leave It Alone

The nation has gone bonkers. It is about to go off of its rocker. Not only that, but the guys who started all of this by writing the Constitutional must be turning in their graves, as this nation may be set to show that lawsuits and so-called rights go hand-in-hand. Even when there appears no reason to do so. Case in point. Remember the 2020 presidential election where Donald Trump lost to Joe Biden BIGLY? We all thought that the issue of who won the presidency was settled, as the court had spoken, and Biden was implementing his policies to lead the nation. Donald Trump didn’t completely go away even when it started to look like some Republicans were throwing hints, as some were starting to see Trump in the rearview mirror for 2024. Well, that mirror must have been one of those vehicle-side rear-view mirrors that say, “objects are closer than they appear”, meaning that Trump’s face is there looking at Republicans. To further illustrate what Republican 2024 contenders may have to face, is a lawsuit that the Supreme court may reconsider seeking to remove President Joe Biden from office and reinstate Trump back into the White House. Now mind you, The Court had already dismissed such a suit earlier this year, according to media reports. One shouldn’t forget the 60 or so lawsuits filed at the federal level where the former president did not succeed in any legal challenge. The Supreme Court was his last hope. Or so we thought, as those judges appointed by him were “his aces” in the hole for him to secure a victory over Biden. Never mind that an insurrection failed on Trump’s behalf, as enough members voted in congress to certify the 2020 election in hopes of finally closing the chapter of a long election.

Now that the fact that the Supreme Court is reportedly considering hearing a case again that it had already dismissed must leave many scratching their heads. Wasn’t this already settled, as Trump seemed to lose much of his swagger, the commanding presence to get those to do his every bidding and maybe a second trip to the White House. This lawsuit is claiming that the election was rigged(really?) with voter fraud, that no court ruled that if there was widespread fraud (which there wasn’t). There wasn’t enough to overturn the election. Here’s something else to consider for the judges, that no Republican who voted to overturn the results of the election at the state or federal level, did not ask to throw out the results where they won. Only the presidential votes. If there was fraud where the election of the president was questioned, there had to be some fraud concerning representatives and senators from red states because the same voters cast their ballots for all elected representatives. All of the votes had to have been rigged and not just for the office of the president. There was not a single Republican who doubted that his/her victory was won because the votes were rigged in their favor. Perhaps some at Fox News should have asked that question, as the company fights a billion dollar lawsuit from Dominion after Fox “newscaster” for weeks/months on end claimed that Dominion had voting machines that rigged the election in favor of Biden. There is the real possibility that Fox could lose BIGLY. Where will Hannity and Carson go?

In a “nation of laws”, some that seemed to be made from thin air, this lawsuit is showing that even at the Supreme Court, a case that it dismissed, can be revived through a petition for reconsideration. Perhaps this time if a consideration is granted to hear the petition, the court will take the opportunity to “deep six” it so that a case like this one will never see the light of day again. The claim is that Congress didn’t do its job to investigate the election to see if there were fraud, some claim that Pence didn’t do his job, but somehow those judges, conservatives and liberal, didn’t do their jobs by granting a single victory through the courts. It’s two years and counting since Biden took the oath of office and yet there are still those who are pledging their allegiance to an individual, who after losing (and knowing that he lost), will let others fight a battle that is already lost. Leave it alone. Remember, the world is watching. So is God.
