No Struggle, No Progress
Now that the curtain is closed on another Black History month and you’ve probably sang or heard “Lift Every Voice”. God created man and woman. God created man in the image and likeness of Him in all different shades and hues. Oppression based on one’s skin tone was created to divide, create hate, and manipulate. The reality for Blacks living in America is one harsh truth that, at any point, many are and will be treated unjustly simply because of their complexion. There are two clauses in the Constitution that point directly and specifically to the Negro race as a separate class of persons and show clearly that Negroes were once only regarded as only a portion of the people or citizens of the government then formed. No one of Negro race had ever migrated to the United States voluntarily; all Negroes in America had been brought here as articles of merchandise, and Negroes were identified in the public mind with the race to which they belonged and regarded as a part of the slave population rather than the free. One of the biggest fears in society was the mixing of races. This was something the people in charge vowed to stop. The good news is that in heaven, skin color will be irrelevant. No one will be judged by how they look. God treats everyone equally. All beings will be restored, and souls will be recreated without color and discrimination. The injustices we face now because of skin complexion are, of course, unjustly wrong, but instead of complaining, live in the power of knowing that this will not always be reality, especially in heaven.
